Sarah’s first crack at entering the British Hairdressing Awards was a collaboration with Graduate Fashion Week exhibitor Sally Rhodes. The collection entitled ‘Sculpt’ showcased texture, structure and movement. The styles create a powerful image with bold shapes & colour, yet the subtle textures suggest a delicate femininity. The whole collection is perfectly complemented by Sally’s collection of outfits inspired by sculptor – Ferry Staverman, who creates beautiful sculptures from corrugated card. Sally’s designs have the same strong, geometric, almost sci-fi edge to them as the hair collection itself. Hard leather panels meet soft, sometimes sheer fabrics in a Yin Yang collision of science meets nature.
