Top Stylist
James worked at another top salon in York, where he acquired 10 years experience in advanced cutting techniques. He joined our team as a Top Stylist in late 2011 and has thrown himself headfirst into our culture, soaking up fresh knowledge from training with the Bang team and at Bumble and bumble University in London. He loves our brands and the Bb products are his favourite to use with his clients.
Amanda
Amanda was thrown in at the deep end when she joined bang in 2008, her talents were put to the test backstage at our 1st birthday catwalk show. We were very proud of her then and we still are. Amanda’s talent and experience shows in the calm, confident and professional manner that she interacts with her clients, she listens to people’s needs and puts them at ease with suggestions for new ideas to inject life into their hair but always considering their lifestyle to be sure they will be leaving with a cut or colour that really suits them.
Please be aware Amanda only works 2 days a week so book early to avoid disappointment.
Stephanie
Stylist
Stephanie joined us in March 2011. She was an established stylist in York, but as all our new stylists, have completed the Bang training program. Steph graduated to the styling team when we moved to our Petergate salon, June 2011 and has since built a strong and loyal clientele.
Abi T
Apprentice
Abi has been with us for 2 years and is now in the final phase of her apprenticeship. During which she has achieved great success in national college competitions and a reputation for a natural flair on the salon floor. She is working her way through the Bang training scheme and is soon to be taking her own colour clients… Watch This Space!
Tino
Apprentice
Like the great 1980′s rapper, Tino’s prefix should be L.L. because the ‘ladies love’ our Tino. His boyish good looks and his firm fingers at the backwash have them trembling at the knees. Move over Jody, there’s a new stud in town.
Abi H
Apprentice
Abi has actually been with the team for 3 years as a ‘Saturday Girl’ but in August she started her full time apprenticeship with us. Abi can already give a masterclass in blowdrying and is showing massive potential as a very creative future member of our styling team, she even styled her own image on a recent photoshoot for Bang Magazine and the Bang Collection 2012.
Charlotte
Reception
Charlotte is the gorgeous front of house face of Bang. She is the girl who will greet you on the phone or at the desk with a cheeky smile. She is also the one you need to ask nicely to work magic to get your hair done at the time you need.
Katie
Reception Manager
Katie is like the Mother Superior of the salon, the Mrs Fix-it, the Maitre D’.
Spending most of her life in a long running family business in the hospitality industry, Katie is a standard bearer for customer service and she makes sure those standards are upheld across the salon. She’s an immaculate woman with expensive tastes and insists that our clients deserve the very best…… and Katie ALWAYS gets her own way.
Jon
Creative Director
Don’t let this guy near any scissors, but give him a camera and a mac and watch him go! Jon is the other half of the creative partnership that spawned BANG. His background lies in fashion photography, design and publishing with a (pre-bang) career spanning over 10 years, collaborating a number of times on editorial and commercial fashion shoots with Sarah… which is actually how this married dynamic duo met.
Jon’s passion is the BANG brand, most of his time is spent nurturing the business’ image by brewing up the latest marketing campaign, planning the next big hair shoot or making another seasonal issue of Bang Magazine. He’ll never be a hairdresser but he loves everything about the hairdressing industry.
